Removal [03/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - ]

  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER WITHOUT DOOR AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:
    • Airbag unit.

      Danger! Life-threatening injuries!

      • Before performing any work on the airbag, always disconnect the battery earth lead from the battery.
      • Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.
      • For additional information see:

        Refer to PRECAUTION [03/2019 - ]

    1. for Type A:
      1. Loosen the T30 screws (1).

      2. Remove the instrument panel passenger without door airbag assembly from the instrument panel safety pad assembly.
    2. for Type B:
      1. Loosen the T30 screws (1).

      2. Remove the instrument panel passenger without door airbag assembly (2) from the instrument panel safety pad assembly.
    3. for Type C:
      1. Identify the unused screw point (3).
      2. Loosen the T30 screws (1).

        NOTE:

        When install the instrument panel passenger without door airbag assembly (2) with screws at the same screw points that were already used.

      3. Remove the instrument panel passenger without door airbag assembly (3) from the instrument panel safety pad assembly.
