Installation [03/2019 - ]: Procedure

1. for Type A / for Type B:
   1. Install the instrument panel passenger without door airbag assembly (2) to the instrument panel safety pad assembly.

   2. Tighten the T30 screws (1).

      Torque: 2.3 N*m (23 kgf*cm, 20 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      • The tightening torque must be applied on at least 11 screws.
      • If the tightening torque is not reached in more than 1 screw, the instrument panel must be replaced.
2. for Type C:
   1. Install the instrument panel passenger without door airbag assembly (2) to the instrument panel safety pad assembly.

   2. Do not use the identified unused screw point (3).
   3. Tighten the T30 screws (1) at the same screw points that were already used.

      Torque: 2.3 N*m (23 kgf*cm, 20 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      • The tightening torque must be applied on all 11 screws.
      • If the tightening torque is not reached in 1 screw, the instrument panel must be replaced.
3. Use a thin paper strip (2) to ensure that the screw head (1) is positioned with any gaps.

   1. If paper strip (2) fits below the screw head (2), release the screw (1) and tighten it once again same, specified tightening torque without retorquing.
      NOTE:

      Redoing the screw connection is allowed only once per screw point.

   2. If paper strip (2) fits under the screw head (1) despite redoing the screw connection once. Screw does not lie without gaps despite redoing the screw connection once. Replacing the instrument panel safety pad assembly.
