DTC C0613-19: Right Electric Parking Brake Actuator Circuit Current Above Threshold [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE WIRE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connectors.

      OK

      The connector is securely connected.

    2. Disconnect the MM4 and M49 No. 1 parking brake wire assembly connectors.
    3. Check both the connector case and the terminals for deformation and corrosion.

      OK

      No deformation or corrosion.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      MM4-1 - M49-2 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      MM4-1 or M49-2 (+) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      MM4-2 - M49-1 (-) Always Below 1 Ω
      MM4-2 or M49-1 (-) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE WIRE ASSEMBLY 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 SKID CONTROL ECU (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY) - PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Make sure the No. 1 parking brake wire assembly is securely installed.
    2. Disconnect the A105 No. 2 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
    3. Disconnect the M49 parking brake actuator assembly RH connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A105-13 (MRR+) - M49-2 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      A105-13 (MRR+) or M49-2 (+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A105-12 (MRR-) - M49-1 (-) Always Below 1 Ω
      A105-12 (MRR-) or M49-1 (-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. INSPECT PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to INSPECTION [11/2018 - ]

    REPLACE PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

  4. CHECK FOR SHORT TO +B 
    1. Make sure the No. 1 parking brake wire assembly is securely installed.
    2. Disconnect the M49 parking brake actuator assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the MM4 No. 1 parking brake wire assembly connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  6. CHECK FOR SHORT TO +B 
    1. Disconnect the MM4 No. 1 parking brake wire assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A105 No. 2 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
