Disassembly [06/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE BACK DOOR CENTER GARNISH 
    1. Detach the claw and clip to remove the back door center garnish as shown in the illustration.

      *B w/ Digital Inner Mirror
      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH LH 
    1. Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration, to detach the claw and guide.

    3. Detach the clip and remove the back door side garnish LH as shown in the illustration.

    4. Remove the 2 clips from the back door side garnish LH.

      NOTE:

      If the back door side garnish LH has been removed, replace the clip with a new one.

  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  4. REMOVE BACK DOOR HANDLE COVER 
    1. Using a moulding remover A, detach the claw and clip to remove the back door handle cover as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  5. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts.

    2. Detach the clip and remove the back door trim board assembly.

  6. REMOVE BACK DOOR ASSIST GRIP LH 
    1. Detach the claw and guide to remove the back door assist grip LH.

  7. REMOVE BACK DOOR ASSIST GRIP RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  8. REMOVE BACK DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH 
    1. Detach the claw and guide to remove the back door service hole cover LH.

  9. REMOVE BACK DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  10. REMOVE BACK DOOR NO. 2 SERVICE HOLE COVER 
    1. Detach the claw and guide to remove the back door No. 2 service hole cover.

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 POWER BACK DOOR CONTROL SWITCH (w/ Power Back Door)

  14. REMOVE REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  15. REMOVE INNER MIRROR CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Digital inner mirror) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  16. REMOVE REAR WASHER NOZZLE 
    1. Disconnect the rear washer hose from the rear washer nozzle.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the rear washer nozzle.
  17. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM HEAD CAP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  18. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  19. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  20. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  21. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK WITH COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Back Door) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  22. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK WITH COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Back Door) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  23. REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU (w/ Power Back Door) 

    See step  6 [06/2020 - 10/2023], or see step  6 [10/2023 - ]

  24. REMOVE BACK DOOR WEIGHT 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts.

    2. Detach the guide and remove the back door weight.
  25. REMOVE BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY
