Removal [06/2020 - 10/2023]: Procedure
- REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Detach the claw in the direction (1) indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration.
Remove in this direction (1) Remove in this direction (2) - Detach the guide in the direction (2) indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.
- Detach the clamp and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly from the hood lock control cable assembly.
- Detach the claw in the direction (1) indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

- REMOVE FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the RH side.

- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [06/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [10/2022 - ]
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the RH side.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
- REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
- Tie a string to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly in the cabin.
*a String HINT:
Use a length of string long enough to pass through the engine compartment.
- Remove the grommet as shown in the illustration.
Remove in this Direction - Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the clamp and remove the hood lock control cable assembly.
*1 Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly - - - Pull the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine room.
HINT:
Do not pull off the string, because it is used during installation. Leave it on the vehicle.
- Disconnect the string from the hood lock control cable assembly.
- Tie a string to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly in the cabin.
