Mute Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Telematics Transceiver [06/2020 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT DCM (TELEPHONE TRANSCEIVER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Remove the DCM (telephone transceiver assembly) with the connector(s) still connected.

      *a Component with harness connected
      (DCM [Telephone Transceiver Assembly])

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - 10/2022]

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      G152-14 (MUTE) - Body ground Ignition switch ON
      Audio system playing
      → Emergency call mode
      2.0 V or higher
      → Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [06/2020 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    NG

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - DCM [TELEPHONE TRANSCEIVER ASSEMBLY]) 
    1. Disconnect the G2 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G152 DCM (telephone transceiver assembly) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G2-3 (TMUT) - G152-14 (MUTE) Always Below 1 Ω
      G2-3 (TMUT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the DCM (telephone transceiver assembly) connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to DCM [Telephone Transceiver Assembly])

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      G152-14 (MUTE) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 2.0 V or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE DCM (TELEPHONE TRANSCEIVER ASSEMBLY). Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2020 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2020 - 10/2022]
