Removal [06/2020 - 12/2021]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION WARNING:
Be sure to read precaution thoroughly before servicing.

NOTE:After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE FUSE BOX OPENING COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19
- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY WARNING:
Deployment Side - When storing the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.
- If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
- Check that the ignition switch is off.
- Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.WARNING:
- Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
- Disconnect the airbag connector.NOTE:
When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

- Remove the 2 bolts.
Remove in this Direction Detach the claw and hook to remove the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.
