DTC B1875-13: Passenger Seat Cushion Airbag Squib Circuit Open [06/2020 - 10/2022]: Procedure

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
2. Check for DTCs.

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes 

   Result

   Proceed to
   DTC B1875-13 is output
   Past DTC B1875-13 is output

Result: 

Past DTC B1875-13 is output 

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK 

Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2020 - ]

HINT: 

• To perform the simulation method, enter check mode (signal check) with the GTS.

  Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

• Perform the simulation method while checking the Data List.

  Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [06/2020 - ]

Result: 

DTC B1875-13 is output

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
3. Check that the connectors are properly connected to the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH and airbag ECU assembly.

   OK

   The connectors are properly connected.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

CONNECT CONNECTORS PROPERLY

1. Disconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.

2. Disconnect the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH.
3. Check that the terminals of the connectors are not deformed or damaged.

   OK

   The terminals of the connectors are not deformed or damaged.

4. Check that the connectors are not loose, deformed or damaged.

   OK

   The connector locking button is not disengaged, and the claw of the lock is not deformed or damaged.

5. Check that the short springs of the activation prevention mechanisms of the wire harness connector are not deformed or damaged.

   OK

   The short springs are not deformed or damaged.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result:

2. Connect the white wire side of SST (resistance 2.1 Ω) to connector C (orange connector).
   WARNING:

   Never connect a tester to the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH for measurement, as this may lead to a serious injury due to airbag deployment.

   NOTE:

   • Do not forcibly insert SST into the terminals of the connector when connecting it.
   • Insert SST straight into the terminals of the connector.
   • SST: 09843-18061 
3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
4. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
5. Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

6. Turn the ignition switch off.
7. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
8. Check for DTCs.

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes 

   Result

   Proceed to
   B1875-13 is not output
   B1875-13 is output

   HINT: 

   Codes other than DTC B1875-13 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

9. Turn the ignition switch off.
10. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
11. Disconnect SST from connector C.

Result: 

B1875-13 is not output 

REPLACE FRONT SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2020 - 12/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022] 

Result: 

B1875-13 is output

1. Connect the airbag ECU assembly connector.
2. Connect the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH connector.
3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
4. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
5. Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

6. Turn the ignition switch off.
7. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
8. Check for DTCs.

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes 

   Result

   Proceed to
   B1875-13 is not output
   B1875-13 is output

   HINT: 

   Codes other than DTC B1875-13 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

9. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
10. Turn the ignition switch off.

Result: 

B1875-13 is not output
