DTC B00B5-13: Driver Seat Track Position Restraints Sensor Circuit Open [06/2020 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    3. Check that the connectors are properly connected to the airbag ECU assembly and front seat adjuster assembly LH (seat position airbag sensor).

      Result

      Proceed to
      Connectors are properly connected
      Connectors are not properly connected

    Result: 

    Connectors are not properly connected 

    CONNECT CONNECTORS PROPERLY 

    Result: 

    Connectors are properly connected

  2. CHECK CONNECTORS 
    1. Disconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.

      *1 Front Seat Adjuster Assembly LH (Seat Position Airbag Sensor)
      *2 Airbag ECU Assembly
      *3 Wire Harness
    2. Disconnect the front seat adjuster assembly LH (seat position airbag sensor) connector.
    3. Check that the connectors (on the airbag ECU assembly side and front seat adjuster assembly LH (seat position airbag sensor) side) are not damaged.

      Result

      Proceed to
      Connectors are not deformed or damaged
      Connectors are deformed or damaged

    Result: 

    Connectors are deformed or damaged 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    Connectors are not deformed or damaged

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CHECK FOR OPEN IN THE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Using a service wire, connect terminals 27 (LSP+) and 24 (GNDL) of connector B.
      NOTE:

      Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting a service wire.

      *3 Wire Harness
      *4 Service Wire

      (to Airbag ECU Assembly)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T27-1 (GND) - T27-2 (VS) Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Disconnect the service wire from connector B.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK DTC 
    1. Reconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.

      *1 Front Seat Adjuster Assembly LH (Seat Position Sensor)
      *2 Airbag ECU Assembly
      *3 Wire Harness
    2. Reconnect the front seat adjuster assembly LH (seat position sensor) connector.
    3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    5. Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

    6. Turn the ignition switch off.
    7. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    8. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Proceed to
      DTC B00B5-13 is output
      DTC B00B5-13 is not output

    Result: 

    DTC B00B5-13 is output 

    REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2020 - 12/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    DTC B00B5-13 is not output 

    REPLACE FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [06/2020 - 12/2021]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [12/2021 - ]
