Zero Point Calibration of Yaw Rate Sensor Undone (X204C) [06/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC (HEALTH CHECK) 
    1. Perform the Health Check using the GTS.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output. A
      DTCs are output. B

    Result: 

    GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  . Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [06/2020 - 12/2021] or DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [12/2021 - 10/2022] or DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2022 - 10/2023] or DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2023 - ] .

    Result:

  2. CLEAR ZERO POINT VALUE FOR YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR 
    1. Clear the zero point value for the yaw rate and acceleration sensor.

      Refer to UTILITY [06/2020 - ]

      Chassis > Brake/EPB > Utility

      Reset Memory

  3. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR 
    1. Perform zero point calibration of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor.

      Refer to UTILITY [06/2020 - ]

      Chassis > Brake/EPB > Utility

  4. CLEAR VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (RoB) 
    1. Using the GTS, clear the Vehicle Control History (RoB).

  5. CHECK VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (RoB) 
    1. Based on the Freeze Frame Data and interview with the customer, attempt to reproduce the conditions when the malfunction occurred.
    2. Using the GTS, check for Vehicle Control History (RoB).

  6. CHECK AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) has been installed properly.

      Refer to INSTALLATION [06/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to INSTALLATION [10/2022 - ]

      OK

      The yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) is tightened to the specified torque.

      The yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) is not installed in a tilted position.

    INSTALL AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY CORRECTLY. Refer to  INSTALLATION [06/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  INSTALLATION [10/2022 - ]

  7. READ VALUE USING GTS (YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR) 
    1. Check the yaw rate and acceleration sensor output value displayed on the GTS.
