Removal [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2021 - ]

  2. REMOVE ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Put protective tape around the roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH.

      Protective Tape
    2. except Panoramic Moon Roof:
      1. Remove the 5 nuts.

        *a Double-sided Tape
      2. Detach the double-sided tape and remove the roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH.
    3. for Panoramic Moon Roof:
      1. Remove the 5 nuts.

        *a Double-sided Tape
      2. Detach the double-sided tape and remove the roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH.
  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOF CARRIER SEAL 

    HINT: 

    When removing the No. 1 roof carrier seal, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the No. 1 roof carrier seal using a heat light.

    Standard

    Item Temperature
    No. 1 Roof Carrier Seal 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the No. 1 roof carrier seal excessively.

    1. Remove the 2 No. 1 roof carrier seals.

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ROOF CARRIER SEAL 

    HINT: 

    When removing the No. 2 roof carrier seal, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the No. 2 roof carrier seal using a heat light.

    No. 2 Roof Carrier Seal 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

  5. REMOVE NO. 3 ROOF CARRIER SEAL LH 

    HINT: 

    When removing the No. 3 roof carrier seal LH, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the No. 3 roof carrier seal LH using a heat light.

  6. REMOVE FRONT ROOF SIDE RAIL PAD LH 

    HINT: 

    When removing the front roof side rail pad LH, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the front roof side rail pad LH using a heat light.

    Front Roof Side Rail Pad LH 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
