Removal [06/2020 - 12/2021]: Procedure

PRECAUTION
NOTE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [06/2020 - 10/2022]
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - 12/2021]
REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER
Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - 12/2021]

REMOVE KICK DOOR CONTROL BRACKET

Disconnect the connector.

NOTE:

Do not touch the terminal of the kick door control sensor connector.

Remove the 3 screws.

	Remove in this Direction		Screw
	Clip	-	-

Remove the 2 clips and kick door control bracket together with the kick door control sensor.

REMOVE KICK DOOR CONTROL SENSOR

Detach the claw and guide and disconnect the antenna cable in the order shown in the illustration.

Detach the clamp.

NOTE:

Do not pull strongly on the wire.
Do not twist the wire.

Detach the claw in the direction indicated by the arrow as shown in the illustration.

Remove in this Direction

Detach the guide and remove the kick door control sensor from the kick door control bracket in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration.

Remove in this Direction

NOTE:

Do not subject the kick door control sensor to strong impacts or force, and do not drop it.
Do not reuse a kick door control sensor which has been subjected to an impact or dropped.
