DTC B1508-19: Turn Signal/Hazard Flasher Circuit Current Above Threshold [06/2020 - 12/2021]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Front turn signal light LH and side turn signal light LH do not blink. A
      Front turn signal light RH and side turn signal light RH do not blink. B
      Rear turn signal light LH does not blink. C
      Rear turn signal light RH does not blink. D

  3. CHECK NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disconnect the A11 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      DTC B1507-18 is output. B

  4. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disconnect the J13*1 or J14*2 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.
      1. *1: w/ Panoramic View Monitor System
      2. *2: w/o Panoramic View Monitor System
    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY SIDE TURN SIGNAL CIRCUIT) 
    1. *1: w/ Panoramic View Monitor System
    2. *2: w/o Panoramic View Monitor System
    3. *3: w/ Headlight ECU
    4. *4: w/o Headlight ECU
    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A11 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.*3
    3. Disconnect the A60 front turn signal light socket LH connector.*4
    4. Disconnect the J13*1 or J14*2 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.
    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      W/ PANORAMIC VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G19-1 (LL) or A11-11 (TNS)*3 or A60-1 (B)*4 or J13-1 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      W/O PANORAMIC VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  6. CHECK SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the side turn signal light assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - ]

    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B1508-19 is output. A
      DTC B1507-18 is output. B

    Result: 

    A 

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2020 - ]

    REPLACE SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2020 - ] 

  7. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the headlight unit assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - 12/2021]

    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      DTC B1508-19 is output. A
      DTC B1507-18 is output. B

    Result:

    REPLACE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2020 - 12/2021]

  8. CHECK FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET 
    1. Remove the front side turn signal light socket.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - 12/2021]

    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes

  9. CHECK FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET LH 
    1. Disconnect the A60 front turn signal light socket LH connector.
    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes

  11. CHECK NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Disconnect the A12 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector.
    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes

    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes

  13. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY SIDE TURN SIGNAL CIRCUIT) 
    1. *1: w/ Panoramic View Monitor System
    2. *2: w/o Panoramic View Monitor System
    3. *3: w/ Headlight ECU
    4. *4: w/o Headlight ECU
    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A12 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector.*3
    3. Disconnect the A59 front turn signal light socket RH connector.*4
    4. Disconnect the I13*1 or I14*2 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.
    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      W/ PANORAMIC VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G19-2 (LR) or A12-11 (TNS)*3 or A59-1 (B)*4 or I13-1 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      W/O PANORAMIC VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM

  14. CHECK SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the side turn signal light assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - 12/2021]

    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      DTC B1507-18 is output. B

    Result:

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2020 - ]

  15. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the headlight unit assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - 12/2021]

    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

    1. Remove the front side turn signal light socket.

    2. Clear the DTC.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

  17. CHECK FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET RH 
    1. Disconnect the A59 front turn signal light socket RH connector.
    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes

    1. Disconnect the N18 rear combination light socket and wire LH connector.
    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes

  19. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE LH) 
    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the N18 rear combination light socket and wire LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G19-5 (TRNL) or N18-4 (TRN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2020 - 10/2022]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  20. CHECK REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE RH 
    1. Disconnect the M14 rear combination light socket and wire RH connector.
    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      G19-6 (TRNR) or M14-4 (TRN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
