DTC B1507-18: Turn Signal Light Circuit Current Below Threshold [06/2020 - 12/2021]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Front turn signal light LH and side turn signal light LH do not blink. A
      Front turn signal light RH and side turn signal light RH do not blink. B
      Front turn signal light LH does not blink. C
      Front turn signal light RH does not blink. D

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A11 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G19-1 (LL) - A11-11 (TNS) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2020 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET LH) 
    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A60 front turn signal light socket LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G19-1 (LL) - A60-1 (B) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2020 - 10/2022]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  5. CHECK VEHICLE TYPE 
    1. Check for vehicle type.

      Result

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A12 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G19-2 (LR) - A12-11 (TNS) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2020 - 10/2022]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET RH) 
    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A59 front turn signal light socket RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G19-1 (LL) - A59-1 (B) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2020 - 10/2022]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  8. CHECK VEHICLE TYPE 
    1. Check for vehicle type.

    2. Disconnect the A11 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  10. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the No. 1 headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [06/2020 - 12/2021]

      *a Component without harness connected
      (to No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH)
      *b Component without harness connected
      (to Front Turn Signal Light Socket)
    2. Remove the front turn signal light socket.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [06/2020 - 12/2021]

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A-9 - B-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      A-13 - B-2 Always Below 1 Ω

  11. INSPECT FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET 
    1. Remove the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - 12/2021]

      *a Component without harness connected
      (to No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH)
    2. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the headlight unit assembly LH and check that the light illuminates.

      OK

      Condition Specified Condition
      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → A-9
      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → A-13      		 Turn signal light illuminates

      Result

    REPLACE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2020 - 12/2021]

    REPLACE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [06/2020 - 12/2021] 

  12. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A60 front turn signal light socket LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G19-1 (LL) - A60-1 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      A60-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [06/2020 - 12/2021]

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  15. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the No. 1 headlight ECU Sub-assembly RH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [06/2020 - 12/2021]

      (to No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly RH)
      *b Component without harness connected
      (to Front Turn Signal Light Socket)
    2. Remove the front turn signal light socket.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [06/2020 - 12/2021]

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A-9 - B-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      A-13 - B-2 Always Below 1 Ω

  16. INSPECT FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET 
    1. Remove the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - 12/2021]

      (to No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly RH)
    2. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the headlight unit assembly RH and check that the light illuminates.

      OK

  17. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET RH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A59 front turn signal light socket RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G19-1 (LL) - A59-1 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      A59-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

    1. Disconnect the N18 rear combination light socket and wire LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N18-4 (TRN) - G19-5 (TRNL) Always Below 1 Ω
      N18-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
