Removal [03/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE BATTERY BOX COVER (for PHEV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  2. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH (for HEV Model) 

    See step  2

  3. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH (for HEV Model) 

    See step  3

  4. REMOVE REAR WHEEL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2022 - ]

  5. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER BAR (for HEV Model 2WD)

      1. Remove the 4 bolts and rear stabilizer bar from the rear suspension member sub-assembly.
      2. Remove the bolt and nut, and separate the rear stabilizer bar from the rear stabilizer link assembly LH.
        NOTE:

        Loosen the nut with the bolt secured.

      3. Remove the bolt and nut, and remove the rear stabilizer bar from the rear stabilizer link assembly RH.
        NOTE:

        Loosen the nut with the bolt secured.

  6. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER BAR (for HEV Model AWD, PHEV Model)

      1. Remove the 4 bolts and rear stabilizer bar from the rear suspension member sub-assembly.
      2. Remove the bolt and nut, and separate the rear stabilizer bar from the rear stabilizer link assembly LH.
        NOTE:

        Loosen the nut with the bolt secured.

      3. Remove the bolt and nut, and remove the rear stabilizer bar from the rear stabilizer link assembly RH.
        NOTE:

        Loosen the nut with the bolt secured.

  7. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

      1. Remove the nut and rear stabilizer link assembly LH from the rear trailing arm assembly.

        HINT: 

        If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench to hold the stud bolt.

  8. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.
