Rear Television Camera Communication Stop Mode [12/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK VEHICLE TYPE 
    1. Check vehicle type.

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the V2 rear television camera assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      V2-1 (CANH) - V2-2 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      V2-3 (CGND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      V2-4 (CB+) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 6 to 9 V

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2022 - ]

    Result: 

    NG

  4. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the V3 rear television camera assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      V3-1 (CANH) - V3-2 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      V3-3 (CGND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      V3-4 (CB+) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 6 to 9 V

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2022 - ]

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY - RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 

    Refer to DTC C1622-87: Rear Camera Image Signal Missing Message [12/2022 - ]
