  1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR)

  2. CHECK AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (CONTACT PROBLEM) 
    1. Check the connection of the auxiliary battery terminal.

      OK

      The terminal is connected securely and there is no contact problem.

      Result

    CONNECT SECURELY

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY - IGCT-MAIN NO. 1 RELAY) 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    Pre-procedure1

    • Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
      NOTE:

      After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the ignition switch to ON (READY), unless instructed by the repair information because this may cause a malfunction.

    • Disconnect the inverter with converter assembly connector.
    • Remove the IGCT-MAIN NO. 1 relay from the No. 1 engine room relay block and No. 1 junction block assembly.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      A88-1 (IGC1) - 3 (IGCT-MAIN NO. 1 relay holder) Ignition switch off Below 1 Ω Ω
      A88-9 (IGC2) - 3 (IGCT-MAIN NO. 1 relay holder) Ignition switch off Below 1 Ω Ω
      A88-4 (GND1) - Body ground Ignition switch off Below 1 Ω Ω
      A88-12 (GND2) - Body ground Ignition switch off Below 1 Ω Ω

    Post-procedure1

    • Install the IGCT-MAIN NO. 1 relay.
    • Reconnect the inverter with converter assembly connector.

  4. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS 
    1. Check for intermittent problems.

      HINT: 

      Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2022 - ]

      1. Check the connection and terminal contact pressure of the connectors and wire harnesses between the auxiliary battery and the inverter with converter assembly.

        Result

        There are no abnormalities in the wire harnesses and connectors.

      Result

    REPLACE INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2022 - ]
