Removal [03/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  2. DRAIN ENGINE OIL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    for HEV Model:
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 53
    for PHEV Model:
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 53
  4. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR

      1. Disconnect the engine oil level sensor connector.
      2. Remove the clip from the engine oil level sensor.
      3. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts and engine oil level sensor from the stiffening crankcase assembly.

      1. Disconnect the engine oil level sensor connector.
      2. Remove the clip from the engine oil level sensor.
      3. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts and engine oil level sensor from the engine balancer assembly.
