Inspection [12/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT NO. 1 POWER BACK DOOR CONTROL SWITCH 
    1. Check the switch.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (No. 1 Power Back Door Control Switch)
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
        W2-5 (CLS) - W2-2 (E) Pushed (ON) Below 1 Ω Ω
        W2-5 (CLS) - W2-2 (E) Not Pushed (OFF) 10 kΩ or higher kΩ

        If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 power back door control switch.

    2. Check the switch illumination.
      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the No. 1 power back door control switch illuminates.

        OK

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal W2-6 (ILL+)
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal W2-1 (ILL-)        		 Always Switch illumination illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 power back door control switch.
