  1. CHECK SYMPTOMS 
    1. Operate the turn signal switch and check the problem symptoms.

  3. CHECK LH SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS (FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT CIRCUIT) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Disconnect the A40 headlight assembly LH connector.
    • Operate the turn signal switch and check that the LH side turn signal lights other than the front turn signal light blink.

      HINT: 

      If the LH side turn signal lights other than the front turn signal light blink, the headlight front turn signal LED LH is malfunctioning.

  4. CHECK TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2022 - ]

    • Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2022 - ]

    • Interchange the outer rear view mirror assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.
    • Check the front/side turn signal light (LH side) operates normally.
      NOTE:

      If the front/side turn signal light (LH side) operates normally, return the outer rear view mirror assembly LH and outer rear view mirror assembly RH that were interchanged in a previous step back to their original conditions so that a component of the outer rear view mirror assembly LH can be inspected in the next step.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LH SIDE (ALL PARTS) - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Disconnect the A40 headlight assembly LH connector.
    • Disconnect the O9 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.
    • Disconnect the K19 combination meter assembly connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      A40-2 (B), O9-5 (B) or K19-5 (LL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher kΩ

  6. CHECK TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Remove the side turn signal light assembly LH from the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2022 - ]

    • Remove the side turn signal light assembly RH from the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2022 - ]

    • Interchange the side turn signal light assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.
    • Check the front/side turn signal light (LH side) operates normally.

      Result

      HINT: 

      If the LH side turn signal lights other than the front turn signal light blink, the headlight housing sub-assembly LH is malfunctioning.

    • Disconnect the A38 headlight assembly LH connector.*1
    • Disconnect the A40 headlight assembly LH connector.*2
    • Disconnect the O9 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.
    • Disconnect the K19 combination meter assembly connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

    • Interchange the rear combination light assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.
    • Check the rear turn signal light (LH side) operates normally.

      Result

    • Disconnect the K19 combination meter assembly connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

    • Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2022 - ]

    • Interchange the outer rear view mirror assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.
    • Check the front/side turn signal light (RH side) operates normally.
      NOTE:

      If the front/side turn signal light (RH side) operates normally, return the outer rear view mirror assembly RH and outer rear view mirror assembly RH that were interchanged in a previous step back to their original conditions so that a component of the outer rear view mirror assembly RH can be inspected in the next step.
