Installation [02/2024 - ]: Procedure
- ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
See step 3
- INSTALL STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY NOTE:
for Manual Tilt and Manual Telescopic Steering Column:
- Be careful not to jam the wire harness between the body and the steering column assembly.
- After installing the steering column assembly, check the operation of the tilt mechanism.
- If the operation of the tilt mechanism is not smooth or an abnormal noise occurs during operation, loosen the nut and move the bracket backward or forward until the tilt mechanism operates smoothly. Then, tighten the nut and check the operation of the tilt mechanism again.
- Tighten the bolt and nut in the following sequence: Temporarily install bolt → tighten nut → tighten bolt.
for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column:
- Be careful not to jam the wire harness between the body and the steering column assembly.
- Tighten the bolt and nut in the following sequence: Temporarily install bolt → tighten nut → tighten bolt.
