Removal [02/2024 - ]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION WARNING:

NOTE:After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

- REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 - REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
- Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

- Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH
- Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
- Check that the ignition switch is off.
- Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.WARNING:
- Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Detach the claw and hook to remove the lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag assembly.
- Disconnect the airbag connector.NOTE:
When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
