Removal [02/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [02/2024 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR HOSE

      *a Retainer - -
      1. Release the 2 retainers and disconnect the No. 2 air hose from the intercooler assembly and No. 2 air tube as shown in the illustration.
  6. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE

  7. REMOVE PURGE VSV (DUTY VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE

  9. REMOVE VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE BRACKET

  11. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE ASSEMBLY WITH NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    NOTE:

    If the No. 1 turbo pressure sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    NOTE:

    If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
