Removal [02/2024 - ]: Procedure
- REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP
HINT: - Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
- The procedure described below is for the LH side.
- REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH
- REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH
- REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH
- REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH
- Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH
- Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
- REMOVE COWL SIDE VENTILATOR COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the windshield glass when removing the windshield wiper motor and link assembly.
- REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
*a Wiper Motor Pivot - - Remove in this Direction - - - Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disconnect the No. 1 wiper ring rod from the wiper motor pivot as shown in the illustration.
- Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 "TORX" screws and the windshield wiper motor assembly.NOTE:
Do not remove the wiper crank arm from the windshield wiper motor assembly.
- Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 "TORX" screws and the windshield wiper motor assembly.
- REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the hood to cowl top seal is necessary.
