Reassembly [02/2024 - ]: Procedure

INSTALL COOLER (COOL BOX) EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

NOTE:

When the cooler (cool box) evaporator sub-assembly is removed, make sure to install a new one. The cooler (cool box) evaporator sub-assembly cannot be reused.

INSTALL COOL BOX BLOWER MOTOR WITH FAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

Install the cooler magnet valve assembly using the following procedure.
1. Remove the vinyl tape from the cooler magnet valve assembly and then apply a sufficient amount of compressor oil to the fitting surface with the cooler (cool box) evaporator sub-assembly.

Compressor Oil

ND-OIL 11 or equivalent

2. Using a union nut wrench 19 mm, tighten the union nut and install the cooler magnet valve assembly.

NOTE:
Make sure not to cut the O-ring while installing it. (Cut O-rings cannot be installed.)

HINT:
- Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.
  Refer to PRECAUTION [02/2024 - ]
- When using a union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 30 mm (1.181 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162 mm (6.38 in.)):
  12.2 N*m (124 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)

INSTALL LIQUID TUBE

Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

Install the liquid tube using the following procedure.
1. Remove the vinyl tape from the liquid tube and then apply a sufficient amount of compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface with the cooler magnet valve assembly.

Compressor Oil

ND-OIL 11 or equivalent

2. Install the O-ring to the liquid tube.

NOTE:
Keep the O-rings and O-ring fitting surfaces free of foreign matter.

3. Using a union nut wrench 19 mm, tighten the union nut and install the liquid tube.

NOTE:
Make sure not to cut the O-ring while installing it. (Cut O-rings cannot be installed.)

HINT:
- Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.
  Refer to PRECAUTION [02/2024 - ]
- When using a union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 30 mm (1.181 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162 mm (6.38 in.)):
  12.2 N*m (124 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)

INSTALL LIQUID HOSE

Install the liquid hose using the following procedure.
1. Remove the vinyl tape from the liquid hose and then apply a sufficient amount of compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the liquid hose and liquid pipe A.

Compressor Oil

ND-OIL 11 or equivalent

2. Install the O-ring to the liquid hose.

NOTE:
Keep the O-rings and O-ring fitting surfaces free of foreign matter.

3. Install the liquid hose with the bolt.

Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf)

NOTE:
Make sure not to cut the O-ring while installing it. (Cut O-rings cannot be installed.)

INSTALL DISCHARGE HOSE

Install the discharge hose using the following procedure.
1. Remove the vinyl tape from the discharge hose and then apply a sufficient amount of compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the discharge hose and cooler (cool box) evaporator sub-assembly.

Compressor Oil

ND-OIL 11 or equivalent

2. Install the O-ring to the discharge hose.

NOTE:
Keep the O-rings and O-ring fitting surfaces free of foreign matter.

3. Install the discharge hose with the bolt.

Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf)

NOTE:
Make sure not to cut the O-ring while installing it. (Cut O-rings cannot be installed.)
