Removal [03/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2022 - ]

  2. REMOVE WATER GUARD PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  3. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 
  5. REMOVE DASH PANEL HEAT INSULATOR

      *A for HEV Model *B for PHEV Model
  6. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH

      1. Remove the bolt and 2 nuts, 2 clips.
      2. Turn the clip and remove the front floor cover LH from the vehicle body.
        NOTE:

        If the clip is not turned when the front floor cover LH is removed, the front floor cover LH or stud bolt may be damaged.

        HINT: 

        Do not remove the clip from the front floor cover LH.

    2. for PHEV Model

      1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts, 4 clips.
      2. Turn the clip and remove the front floor cover LH from the vehicle body.
        NOTE:

        If the clip is not turned when the front floor cover LH is removed, the front floor cover LH or stud bolt may be damaged.

        HINT: 

        Do not remove the clip from the front floor cover LH.

  7. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER RH

      1. Remove the bolt and 2 nuts, 2 clips.
      2. Turn the clip and remove the front floor cover RH from the vehicle body.
        NOTE:

        If the clip is not turned when the front floor cover RH is removed, the front floor cover RH or stud bolt may be damaged.

        HINT: 

        Do not remove the clip from the front floor cover RH.

  8. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR CENTER BRACE

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for PHEV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  10. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:
    • To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.
    • To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

  11. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR

  12. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7
  13. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR 
    WARNING:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

  14. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY 
    WARNING:

  15. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR 
    WARNING:
