Removal [02/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Disengage the claw to disconnect the shifting hole cover sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
      2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, expand the left side of the clip and remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:
        • Be careful not to damage the shift lever knob sub-assembly.
        • The clip is difficult to remove. Check that the clip is installed to the shift lever knob sub-assembly after removing the shift lever knob sub-assembly.
        • If the installation procedures described in the appropriate service information are not performed correctly, the shift lever knob sub-assembly may fall off.
