Reassembly [02/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE SEAL 
    NOTE:

    When installing the No. 1 radiator grille seal, heat the No. 1 radiator grille seal and radiator shutter assembly using a heat light.

    Standard Value

    Part Temperature
    Radiator Shutter Assembly 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    No. 1 Radiator Grille Seal 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the No. 1 radiator grille seal and radiator shutter assembly excessively.

      *a No. 1 radiator grille seal Pasting Standards - -

      Standard Measurement

      Area Measurement Area Measurement
      A 3 mm (0.118 in.) or less - -
      1. Clean the surface of the radiator shutter assembly.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the radiator shutter assembly surface.

        2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the radiator shutter assembly.

        3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

        NOTE:
        • Installing the No. 1 radiator grille seal with some double-sided tape remaining may cause poor adhesion. Perform this procedure until the tape is sufficiently removed.
        • Make sure to use a cloth when removing. Using a screwdriver, etc., may cause damage and poor adhesion.
        • Clean the surface even when using a new part.
      2. Using a heat light, heat the radiator shutter assembly and a new No. 1 radiator grille seal.
      3. Install the No. 1 radiator grille seal in the position shown in the illustration.

        HINT: 

        Apply pressure so that it does not lift up from the radiator shutter assembly.

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR GRILLE SEAL 
    NOTE:

    When installing the No. 2 radiator grille seal, heat the No. 2 radiator grille seal and radiator shutter assembly using a heat light.

    Part Temperature
    Radiator Shutter Assembly 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    No. 2 Radiator Grille Seal 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
