Removal [02/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    When removing parts with double-sided tape applied, heat the portion of the parts with tape residue with a heat light if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove.

    Standard Value

    Part Temperature
    Metal parts 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Resin parts 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the part excessively.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR UPPER TRIM COVER LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR ARMREST COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS INNER WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR OUTSIDE SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21
  10. REMOVE HOLE PLUG 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24
  12. REMOVE DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27

  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRONT LOWER FRAME UPPER COVER LH

      *a Double-sided tape - -
      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Put protective tape around the front door front lower frame upper cover LH.
      2. Heat the adhesive of the front door front lower frame upper cover LH using a heat light.
      3. Detach the clip and remove the front door front lower frame upper cover LH in the order shown in the illustration.
  15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING LH

      Remove in this Direction Push in this Direction
      1. Put protective tape around the front door belt moulding assembly LH.
      2. Detach the claw as shown in the illustration.
      3. Detach the claw and remove the front door belt moulding assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
