Adjustment [02/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT REAR DOOR 
    1. Check that the clearance measurements of areas "A" to "T" are within the standard ranges.

      Standard Clearance

      A 2.5 to 6.5 mm (0.0984 to 0.2559 in.) B -2.0 to 2.0 mm (-0.079 to 0.079 in.)
      C 4.15 to 7.55 mm (0.163 to 0.297 in.) D 0.95 to 4.95 mm (0.037 to 0.195 in.)
      E 3.9 to 6.9 mm (0.154 to 0.272 in.) F 3.6 to 6.6 mm (0.142 to 0.260 in.)
      G 3.9 to 6.9 mm (0.154 to 0.272 in.) H 3.6 to 6.6 mm (0.142 to 0.260 in.)
      I 4.55 to 7.55 mm (0.179 to 0.297 in.) J 1.55 to 5.55 mm (0.0610 to 0.2185 in.)
      K 2.5 to 5.5 mm (0.0984 to 0.2165 in.) L -1.5 to 1.5 mm (-0.0591 to 0.0591 in.)
      M 3.0 to 7.0 mm (0.118 to 0.276 in.) N -2.0 to 2.0 mm (-0.079 to 0.079 in.)
      O 3.5 to 8.5 mm (0.138 to 0.335 in.) P 3.5 to 8.5 mm (0.138 to 0.335 in.)
      Q 3.0 to 5.4 mm (0.118 to 0.213 in.) R -1.2 to 1.2 mm (-0.0472 to 0.0472 in.)
      S 3.0 to 5.4 mm (0.118 to 0.213 in.) T -1.2 to 1.2 mm (-0.0472 to 0.0472 in.)
  2. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing.

    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [02/2024 - ]
  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2024 - ]

  4. ADJUST REAR DOOR LH 
    1. Loosen the 4 hinge bolts on the vehicle body and adjust the door position.

    2. Tighten the bolt hinge bolts after the adjustment.

      Torque: 26.0 N.m (265 kgf/cm, 19 ft.lbf) 

    3. Loosen the 4 hinge bolts on the door and adjust the door position.

    4. Tighten the 4 hinge bolts on the door after adjustment.

      Torque: 21.0 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

    5. Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, slightly loosen the 2 striker mounting screws.

    6. Using a brass bar and a hammer, hit the striker to adjust its position.
    7. Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 striker mounting screws after adjustments.

      Torque: 23.0 N.m (235 kgf/cm, 17 ft.lbf) 

  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [02/2024 - ]

  6. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

  7. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    Refer to OPERATION CHECK [02/2024 - ]
