- INSPECT LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY WITH BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH
- Check the operation of the back door opener switch.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition U12-3 (UL) - U12-4 (E) Back door opener switch pushed (ON) Below 25 Ω U12-3 (UL) - U12-4 (E) Back door opener switch not pushed (OFF) 10 kΩ or higher - If the result is not as specified, replace the license plate light assembly with back door opener switch.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Check the operation of the back door lock switch.

Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition U12-5 (L) - U12-4 (E) Back door lock switch pushed (ON) Below 25 Ω U12-5 (L) - U12-4 (E) Back door lock switch not pushed (OFF) 10 kΩ or higher - If the result is not as specified, replace the license plate light assembly with back door opener switch.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Check the operation of the back door opener switch.
