NOTE: When installing the front door weatherstrip LH, heat the vehicle body and front door weatherstrip LH using a heat light.

• Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
• Touching the heat light may result in burns.
• Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

   Double-sided Tape

   -

   -

   1. Clean the surface of the vehicle body.

      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      NOTE:

      • Installing the front door weatherstrip LH with some double-sided tape remaining may cause poor adhesion. Perform this procedure until the tape is sufficiently removed.
      • Make sure to use a cloth when removing. Using a screwdriver, etc., may cause damage and poor adhesion.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

   2. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and a new front door weatherstrip LH.
   3. Attach the clip and double-sided tape to install the front door weatherstrip LH.

      HINT: 

      Apply pressure so that it does not lift up from the vehicle body.

   *a	When reusing the bolt	-	-
   	Clean the thread		Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent.

   1. Clean the bolt hole in the vehicle body.
   2. When reusing the bolt:

      1. Clean the threads of the bolt.

      2. Apply adhesive to the threads of the bolt.

      Adhesive

      Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent.

   3. Install the front door check assembly LH with the 2 nuts and bolt.

      Bolt 

      Torque: 27 N.m (275 kgf/cm, 20 ft.lbf) 

      Nut 

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

   Install in this Direction

   MP Grease

   1. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts on the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH.
   2. Attach the guide and claw as shown in the illustration.
   3. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH with "TORX" screw.

      Torque: 4.0 N.m (41 kgf/cm, 35 in.lbf) 

   4. Attach the clamp.

   1. Install the front door lock cylinder assembly.

      HINT: 

      Check that the front door lock cylinder assembly is inserted into the front door lock with motor assembly LH.

   2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the front door lock cylinder assembly with "TORX" screw.

      Torque: 4.0 N.m (41 kgf/cm, 35 in.lbf)

   1. Attach the claw to install the front door outside handle cover.
   2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the front door outside handle cover with "TORX" screw.

      Torque: 4.0 N.m (41 kgf/cm, 35 in.lbf) 

Torque: 8.5 N.m (87 kgf/cm, 75 in.lbf)

   MP Grease

   -

   -

   1. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the front door window regulator with motor assembly.
   2. Install the front door window regulator with motor assembly with the 6 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

   3. Connect the connector.

   *A	for Driver Side	*B	for Front Passenger Side
   *C	w/o Seat Position Memory	-	-

   1. for Driver Side, w/ Seat Position Memory:

      1. Connect the connector to the multiplex network master switch assembly with front door armrest base panel.

   2. for Driver Side, w/o Seat Position Memory:

      1. Connect the 2 connectors to the multiplex network master switch assembly with front door armrest base panel.

   3. for Front Passenger Side:

      1. Connect the connector to the power window regulator switch assembly with front door armrest base panel.

   4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and turn the ignition switch to ON.

   5. Move the front door window regulator sub-assembly LH so that the door glass bolt holes can be.

   	Install in this Direction	-	-

   1. Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
      WARNING:

      • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
      • If an airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious injury.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2024 - ]

   2. for Driver Side, w/ Seat Position Memory:

      1. Disconnect the connector form the multiplex network master switch assembly with front door armrest base panel LH.

   3. for Driver Side, w/o Seat Position Memory:

      1. Disconnect the 2 connectors form the multiplex network master switch assembly with front door armrest base panel LH.

   4. for Front Passenger Side:

      1. Disconnect the connector from the power window regulator switch assembly with front door armrest base panel RH.

   5. Temporarily install the front door glass sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the front door glass sub-assembly LH.

   6. Install the front door glass sub-assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

   	Turn in this Direction	-	-

   1. Pass the front door open lever lock remote control cable and front door lock / unlock knob inside locking cable through the front door service hole cover LH.
   2. Attach the clip to install the front door service hole cover LH.
   3. Turn the service hole cover clip 45° clockwise and align the positions of the bead mark and knob.
   4. Attach the clamp.
   5. Connect the connector.

HINT: 

When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.
