Removal [02/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2024 - ]

  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR NO. 4 SERVICE HOLE COVER (w/ Cover) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27

  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR NO. 3 SERVICE HOLE COVER (w/ Cover) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  4. REMOVE BACK DOOR NO. 1 SERVICE HOLE COVER (w/ Cover) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44

  5. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR PROTECTOR (w/ Back Door Speaker) 
    NOTE:

    When removing the outer mirror protector, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the outer mirror protector using a heat light.

    Part Temperature
    Outer Mirror Protector 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the outer mirror protector excessively.

      1. Heat the adhesive of the outer mirror protector using a heat light.
      2. Remove the 2 outer mirror protectors.
  6. REMOVE BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Remove the 6 bolts.

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Put protective tape around the back door outside garnish sub-assembly.
      2. Detach the clip and remove the back door outside garnish sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
