DTC B1509: Cockpit Control Signal Input [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Cockpit Control > Clear DTCs 

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Cockpit Control > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      DTC B1509 (current code) is not output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK 

    HINT: 

    • Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.

      Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2021 - ]

    • In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    1. Check the harness between the navigation ecu assembly connector and the combination meter assembly.
    2. Check the condition of harness and connector.

      OK

      Harness and connector are normal.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE THE POOR CONTACT OF CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT NAVIGATION ECU ASSEMBLY 
    1. Perform the inspection according to the diagnosis for the navigation ecu assembly.

      Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2021 - ]

      OK

      The navigation ecu assembly activate normally.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE THE NAVIGATION ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [11/2021 - ]
