ECM Communication Stop Mode [04/2020 - 09/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (ECM MAIN LINE AND BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the A46 and C77 ECM connectors.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A46-13 (CANH) - A46-26 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω
      C77-31 (CAN+) - C77-32 (CAN-) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS LINES OR CONNECTOR (ECM)

  2. CHECK ECM POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT 
    1. Check the ECM power source circuit.

      Refer to ECM Power Source Circuit [01/2019 - 09/2022]

    REPLACE ECM 

    Refer to REMOVAL [04/2020 - 09/2022]
