Open in Bus 2 Main Bus Line [04/2020 - 09/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN MAIN BUS LINES (NO. 2 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the I146 No. 2 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 2 CAN Junction Connector)
      *b to Central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU)
      *c to ECM - -

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Connected to
      I146-1 (CANH) - I146-11 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω Central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU)
      I146-4 (CANH) - I146-14 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω ECM

    REPLACE NO. 2 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN MAIN BUS LINES (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU) - NO. 2 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the I146 No. 2 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the I53 central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I53-18 (CA4H) - I53-17 (CA4L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

    REPLACE CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 09/2022]

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS LINES OR CONNECTOR (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU) - NO. 2 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 

  3. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN MAIN BUS LINES (ECM - NO. 2 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the I146 No. 2 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the A46 ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to ECM)

      Standard Resistance

      A46-13 (CANH) - A46-26 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω
