VSC OFF Switch Circuit [09/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (TRAC/VSC OFF MODE) 
    1. Operate the GTS to read the Data List.

    2. Check the indicator light and mode condition on the GTS changes according to VSC OFF switch operation.

  2. INSPECT VSC OFF SWITCH 

    Refer to INSPECTION [09/2022 - ]

    OK

    The VSC OFF switch is normal.

    NG 

    REPLACE VSC OFF SWITCH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2022 - 11/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2022 - 09/2024] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2024 - ]

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VSC OFF SWITCH - BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connectors.

      OK

      The connector is securely connected.

    2. Disconnect the A51 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
    3. Disconnect the I45 VSC OFF switch connector.
    4. Check both the connector case and the terminals for deformation and corrosion.

      OK

      No deformation or corrosion.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I45-5 (+) - A51-38 (CSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      I45-5 (+) or A51-38 (CSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I45-2 (E) - Body ground 1 minute or more after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω

    REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2022 - 09/2024] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2024 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  4. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSPECTION [09/2022 - ]

    OK

    The VSC OFF switch (combination switch assembly) is normal.

    Result

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2022 - 11/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2022 - 09/2024] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2024 - ]

    Result: 

    OK

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.

      OK

      The connector is securely connected.

    2. Disconnect the A51 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
    3. Disconnect the I61 VSC OFF switch (combination switch assembly) connector.
    4. Check both the connector case and the terminals for deformation and corrosion.

      OK

      No deformation or corrosion.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I61-7 (+) - A51-38 (CSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      I61-7 (+) or A51-38 (CSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I61-5 (E) - Body ground 1 minute or more after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω

      Result

    REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
