Removal [09/2022 - ]: Procedure

Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

1. Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.

2. Disconnect the wire harness clamp.
3. Disengage the 2 clamps.

4. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly from the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
5. Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly from the air cleaner hose assembly.

1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

2. Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner hose assembly from the throttle body assembly.

   *A	w/ Stud Bolt
   *B	w/o Stud Bolt
   *1	Water By-pass Hose
   *2	No. 2 Water By-pass Hose

2. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the water by-pass hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body assembly.
3. w/ Stud Bolt:

   *B	w/o Stud Bolt

   1. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and throttle body assembly from the intake manifold.
      NOTE:

      If the throttle body assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

4. w/o Stud Bolt:
   1. Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body assembly from the intake manifold.
      NOTE:

      If the throttle body assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

1. Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake manifold.
