Removal [01/2019 - 09/2022]: Procedure

- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [01/2019 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [04/2020 - 09/2022]
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.
- Disconnect the wire harness clamp.
- Disengage the 2 clamps.
*a Clamp *b Guide - Disengage the 2 guides and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly from the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
- Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly from the air cleaner hose assembly.
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the throttle body assembly connector.
*A w/ Stud Bolt *B w/o Stud Bolt *1 Water By-pass Hose *2 No. 2 Water By-pass Hose - Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the water by-pass hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body assembly.
- w/ Stud Bolt:
*A w/ Stud Bolt *B w/o Stud Bolt - Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and throttle body assembly from the intake manifold.NOTE:
If the throttle body assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and throttle body assembly from the intake manifold.
- w/o Stud Bolt:
- Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body assembly from the intake manifold.NOTE:
If the throttle body assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body assembly from the intake manifold.
- Disconnect the throttle body assembly connector.
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET
