On-Vehicle Inspection [01/2019 - ]: Procedure

- INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Put the engine in inspection mode (maintenance mode).
Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Utility
Tester Display Inspection Mode - Start the engine.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Control the Intake VVT OCV Duty Ratio Bank 1.
Powertrain > Engine > Active Test
Tester Display Control the Intake VVT OCV Duty Ratio Bank 1 - Check the engine speed while operating the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly using the Techstream.
Standard Condition
Techstream Operation Specified Condition 0% Normal engine speed 100% Engine idles roughly or stalls HINT:
- Test not possible with park (P) selected during charge control. Select neutral (N) to perform test.
- If DTCs are stored after the Active Test, clear the DTCs.
If the operation is not as specified, check the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly, wire harness and ECM.
