Adjustment [09/2022 - ]: Procedure

1. Fully apply the parking brake and chock a wheel.
   WARNING:

   • Make sure to apply the parking brake and chock a wheel before performing this procedure.
   • If the vehicle is not secure and the shift lever is moved to N, the vehicle may suddenly move, possibly resulting in an accident or serious injury.

1. Slide the adjuster case cover in the direction shown by the arrow.

2. Using a precision screwdriver, pull out the lock piece of the adjuster case.

3. Using your fingers, gently pull the cable rod towards the rear of the vehicle to remove backlash.

4. Push in the lock piece of the adjuster case to lock it.

   NOTE:

   • When pushing in the lock piece of the adjuster case to lock it, remove your hand from the lever shaft.

     *1	Floor Shift Transmission Control Select Cable
     *a	Lever Shaft

   • When pushing in the lock piece of the adjuster case to lock it, do not move the lever shaft or floor shift transmission control select cable forward or backward.
5. Move the adjuster case cover in the direction shown by the arrow.

   NOTE:

   If the adjuster case cover is not moved far enough so that the adjuster case cover engages the lock piece, the cable will not be able to lock, and reliable shift operation will not be possible.
