Open in Bus 5 Main Bus Line [01/2019 - 09/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN MAIN BUS LINES (NO. 3 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the I94 No. 3 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 3 CAN Junction Connector)      		 *b to Combination Meter Assembly
      *c to Central Gateway ECU (Network Gateway ECU) - -

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Connected to
      I94-1 (CANH) - I94-11 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω Combination meter assembly
      I94-6 (CANH) - I94-16 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω Central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU)

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN MAIN BUS LINES (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU) - NO. 3 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the I94 No. 3 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the I53 central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      I53-15 (CA5H) - I53-16 (CA5L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

    REPLACE CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 09/2022]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS LINES OR CONNECTOR (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU) - NO. 3 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 

  3. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN MAIN BUS LINES (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - NO. 3 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the I94 No. 3 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the I4 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
