Emergency Call Switch Illumination Circuit [09/2022 - ]: Procedure

1. Disconnect the I143 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
2. Disconnect the T6 map light assembly (manual (SOS) switch) connector.
3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   T6-14 (RRID) - Body Ground	Power switch on (IG)	11 to 14 V

4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   I143-3 (SIG-) - T6-8 (GND3)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   I143-3 (SIG-) or T6-8 (GND3) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Remove the map light assembly (manual (SOS) switch).

   Refer to REMOVAL [09/2022 - 11/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2022 - ]

   *a	Component without harness connected (Map Light Assembly (Manual (SOS) Switch))

2. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the connector and check that the map light assembly comes on.

   OK

   Measurement Condition	Condition	Specified Condition
   Battery positive (+) → T6-14 (RRID) Battery negative (-) → T6-8 (GND3)	Always	Manual (SOS) switch illumination comes on

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (MANUAL (SOS) SWITCH)

1. Replace the DCM (telematics transceiver) with a new one.

   Refer to REMOVAL [09/2022 - 11/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2022 - 09/2024] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2024 - ]

   NOTE:

   • The power switch must be off.
   • Do not exchange the DCM (telematics transceiver) with one from another vehicle.
