DTC B15CC-49: Backup Battery Internal Electronic Failure [04/2020 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK DTC
- Turn the power switch off.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 10 seconds or more.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Clear the DTCs.
Body Electrical > Telematics > Clear DTCs
- Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.
Body Electrical > Telematics > Trouble Codes
Result
Proceed to OK NG

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK
Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2018 - ]

- CHECK BUB (BACK-UP BATTERY)
- Replace the BUB (Back-Up Battery) with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again.
Refer to REMOVAL [04/2020 - 09/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2022 - 11/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2022 - ]
NOTE:The BUB (Back-Up Battery) must not be replaced while an ACN call is in progress.
Refer to ACN CALL END [04/2020 - ]
- Clear the DTCs.
Body Electrical > Telematics > Clear DTCs
- Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.
Body Electrical > Telematics > Trouble Codes
OK
No DTCs are output.

PERFORM INITIALIZATION
Refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2020 - ]

- Replace the BUB (Back-Up Battery) with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again.
- REPLACE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)
- Replace the DCM (telematics transceiver) with a new one.

NOTE:- The power switch must be off.
- Do not exchange the DCM (telematics transceiver) with one from another vehicle.
