DTC B15C5: Manual Button Malfunction [01/2019 - 04/2020]: Procedure

1. Turn the power switch off.
2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
3. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 10 seconds.
4. Turn the Techstream on.
5. Clear the DTCs.

   Body Electrical > Telematics > Clear DTCs 

6. Recheck for DTCs.

   Body Electrical > Telematics > Trouble Codes

   DTC B1570, B1571 and B15C5 are output	A
   DTC B15C5 is output (DTC B1570 and B1571 are not output)	B

1. Disconnect the T6 map light assembly connector.

   *a	Component without harness connected (Map Light Assembly)

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   18 (SIG1) - 12 (GND3)	Manual (SOS) switch not pressed	410 to 414 Ω
   18 (SIG1) - 12 (GND3)	Manual (SOS) switch pressed	81 to 83 Ω

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result:

REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 09/2022]

1. Disconnect the I72 DCM (Telematics Transceiver) connector.
2. Disconnect the T6 map light assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   I72-26 (SIG-) - T6-12 (GND3)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   I72-26 (SIG-) or T6-12 (GND3) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   I72-27 (SIG1) - T6-18 (SIG1)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   I72-27 (SIG1) or T6-18 (SIG1) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   OK
   NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

1. Replace the DCM (Telematics Transceiver).

   Refer to REMOVAL [01/2019 - 09/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2019 - 04/2020]

   NOTE:

   • The power switch must be off.
   • Do not swap the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) with one from another vehicle.
