DTC B1507-18: Turn Signal Light Circuit Current Below Threshold [06/2018 - 01/2019]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.

      Result

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A21 and A23 headlight assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the I5 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A21-1 (TNS) - I5-1 (LL) Always Below 1 Ω
      A23-4 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  4. INSPECT HEADLIGHT CORD (HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH)

    1. Remove the headlight unit assembly LH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [06/2018 - 01/2019]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      A-11 (ECUB) - A21-1 (TNS) Always Below 1 Ω
      A-12 (GND) - A23-4 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω

  5. INSPECT HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Remove the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 09/2022]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      B-20 (TURN+) - A-11 (ECUB) Always Below 1 Ω
      B-13 (TURN-) - A-12 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω

  6. INSPECT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Inspect the turn signal light (headlight unit assembly LH).

      Refer to INSPECTION [06/2018 - 01/2019]

      Result

      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 01/2019]

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [06/2018 - 01/2019] 

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A83 headlight assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the I5 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A83-2 (B) - I5-1 (LL) Always Below 1 Ω
      A83-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  8. CHECK LH SIDE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Connect the I5 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Interchange the headlight assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 01/2019]

    3. Operate the turn signal switch and check that the LH side front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      LH side front turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [06/2018 - 01/2019]

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 01/2019] 

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the O43 rear combination light assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the I5 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O43-4 (B) - I5-5 (TRNL) Always Below 1 Ω
      O43-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  10. CHECK LH SIDE REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Connect the I5 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Interchange the rear combination light assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 09/2022]

    3. Operate the turn signal switch and check that the LH side rear turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      LH side rear turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 01/2019]

  11. INSPECT REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LED LH 
    1. Remove the rear combination light LED LH from rear combination light assembly LH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [06/2018 - ]

    2. Inspect the rear combination light LED LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [06/2018 - 09/2022]

      Result

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT CORD LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [06/2018 - ]

    1. Disconnect the A82 headlight assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the I5 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A82-2 (B) - I5-2 (LR) Always Below 1 Ω
      A82-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

  18. CHECK RH SIDE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH)

    2. Interchange the headlight assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 01/2019]

    3. Operate the turn signal switch and check that the RH side front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      RH side front turn signal light blinks.

    1. Disconnect the O42 rear combination light assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the I5 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O42-4 (B) - I5-6 (TRNR) Always Below 1 Ω
      O42-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result
