DTC B2410: Headlight Swivel ECU LH Communication; DTC B2411: Headlight Swivel ECU RH Communication [06/2018 - 09/2022]: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Trouble Codes.
    5. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > AFS > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Wait 10 seconds or more.
    4. Turn the Techstream on.
    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Trouble Codes.
    6. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > AFS > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      DTC B2410 and B2411 are not output.

      Result

  3. INSPECT HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    *a Component without harness connected
    (Headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH)    		 - -
    1. Remove the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 09/2022]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A-19 (LINS) - C-4 (LINSI) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [06/2018 - 01/2019]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [01/2019 - 03/2019]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [03/2019 - 09/2022] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 09/2022] 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH (HEADLIGHT CORD) - HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH (HEADLIGHT CORD)) 
    1. Disconnect the A21 headlight unit assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the A20 headlight unit assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A21-8 - A20-8 Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH (HEADLIGHT CORD)

    *1 Headlight Unit Assembly RH (Headlight Cord) - -
    *a Component without harness connected
    (to Headlight ECU Sub-assembly RH)    		 *b Component without harness connected
    (to Wire Harness)
    1. Remove the headlight unit assembly RH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [06/2018 - 01/2019] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [01/2019 - 03/2019] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [03/2019 - 09/2022]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A20-8 - A-19 (LINS) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [06/2018 - 01/2019]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [01/2019 - 03/2019]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [03/2019 - 09/2022] 

    Result: 

    OK

  6. CHECK HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (LINS TERMINAL SIGNAL OUTPUT)

    *a Front view of wire harness connector
    (to Headlight ECU Sub-assembly RH)
    1. Connect the A21 headlight unit assembly LH connector.
    2. Connect the A20 headlight unit assembly RH connector.
    3. Using a Techstream, check the waveform.

      OK

      A-19 (LINS) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) Pulse generation

      Result

  7. INSPECT HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Remove the headlight ECU sub-assembly RH.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 09/2022] 

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH (HEADLIGHT CORD) - HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH (HEADLIGHT CORD)) 
    1. Disconnect the A21 headlight unit assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the A20 headlight unit assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A21-8 or A20-8 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  9. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Connect the A21 headlight unit assembly LH connector.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    4. Turn the Techstream on.
    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Trouble Codes.
    6. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > AFS > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

  10. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

  11. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the headlight unit assembly RH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [06/2018 - 01/2019] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [01/2019 - 03/2019] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [03/2019 - 09/2022]

    2. Connect the A20 headlight unit assembly RH connector.

      Result

  17. CHECK HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 09/2022]

    2. Connect the A headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    3. Disconnect the A20 headlight unit assembly RH connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT
