Rear Door Courtesy Switch Circuit [09/2022 - 11/2022]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

    1. Inspect the rear door courtesy light switch assembly LH.

      for Hatchback: Refer to INSPECTION [06/2018 - ]

      for Sedan: Refer to INSPECTION [01/2019 - ]

    REPLACE REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH 

    for Hatchback: Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 11/2022]

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH - POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the 8H power distribution box assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O31-1 - 8H-18 Always Below 1 Ω
      O31-1 or 8H-18 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  4. INSPECT POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the power distribution box assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2022 - 11/2022]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      8H-18 - MB-6 (LCTY) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)

  5. INSPECT REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Inspect the rear door courtesy light switch assembly RH.

      for Hatchback: Refer to INSPECTION [06/2018 - ]

      for Sedan: Refer to INSPECTION [01/2019 - ]

    REPLACE REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH 

    for Hatchback: Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 11/2022]

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH - POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the 8H power distribution box assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O34-1 - 8H-27 Always Below 1 Ω
      O34-1 or 8H-27 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  7. INSPECT POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the power distribution box assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      8H-27 - MB-1 (RCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
