DTC C1AAE-00: Front Recognition Camera Heater Malfunction [01/2019 - 09/2022]: Procedure

1. Clear the DTCs.

   Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Clear DTCs 

2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

   HINT: 

   If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

3. Check for DTCs.

   Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Trouble Codes 

   Result

   DTC C1AAE-00 is output	B

1. Turn the power switch off.
2. Disconnect the forward recognition with heater hood sub-assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   1 (IG1) - 2 (HTR)	Power switch off	28.5 to 31.5 Ω

4. Connect the forward recognition with heater hood sub-assembly connector.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE FORWARD RECOGNITION WITH HEATER HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 09/2022]

1. Disconnect the T11 forward recognition with heater hood sub-assembly connector.
2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   T11-1 (IG1) - Body ground	Power switch on (IG)	8 to 16 V
   	Power switch off	Below 1.5 V

3. Connect the T11 forward recognition with heater hood sub-assembly connector.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

Result: 

OK

1. Disconnect the T11 forward recognition with heater hood sub-assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the T9 forward recognition camera connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   T11-2 (HTR) - T9-1 (HTR)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   T11-2 (HTR) or T9-1 (HTR) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

4. Connect the T9 forward recognition camera connector.
5. Connect the T11 forward recognition with heater hood sub-assembly connector.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA. Refer to  REMOVAL [01/2019 - 09/2022]
