Inspection [09/2022 - 09/2024]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT 4WD CONTROL SWITCH (NO. 2 COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Inspect the resistance:
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        I179-6 (B) - I179-3 (E) TRACK mode switch being pushed and held 80.36 to 83.64 Ω
        TRACK mode switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
        REAR mode switch turned and held 580.16 to 603.84 Ω
        REAR mode switch not turned 10 kΩ or higher
        FRONT mode switch turned and held 2050.16 to 2133.84 Ω
        FRONT mode switch not turned 10 kΩ or higher

        *a Component without harness connected
        4WD Control Switch (No. 2 Combination Switch Assembly)

        HINT: 

        If the result is not as specified, replace the 4WD control switch (No. 2 combination switch assembly).

    2. Inspect the illumination:

      *a Component without harness connected
      4WD Control Switch (No. 2 Combination Switch Assembly)
      1. Apply battery voltage to the integration control and panel assembly (multi-terrain select switch) and check that the switch illuminates.

        OK

        Condition Specified Condition
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → I179-7 (ILL+)
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → I179-2 (ILL-)
        Illuminates

        HINT: 

        If the result is not as specified, replace the 4WD control switch (No. 2 combination switch assembly).
